Road accident in Badakhshan claims one life, injures 11 others
(MENAFN) A road accident in Badakhshan province, northern Afghanistan, on Saturday night resulted in the death of one passenger and left 11 others injured, including women and children.
The crash occurred in Raghistan district when the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ravine, according to provincial police representative Ehsanullah Kamgar. He further attributed the incident to reckless driving.
The fatality was a woman who died instantly, while the others sustained injuries, some of which are critical.
In related incidents, five people died in Takhar and two others in Wardak province on Friday due to similar crashes.
