Indy Auto Man is spotlighting the used Chevrolet Corvette as one of the most compelling vehicles with strong investment value in today’s market.

Our goal is to help customers find a vehicle that fits how they want to drive, what they value, and what can bring profit at the time of switching to the next auto.”
— Victor Figlin, GM for Indy Auto Man

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, UNITED STATES, October 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A Chevy Corvette has always offered something more than a fast drive. The right model, trim, condition, and clean ownership history can turn America’s sports car into an asset that delivers driving enjoyment while preserving a meaningful share of its value - or, in select cases, can prove to be a sound investment in the long run.

Indy Auto Man reports: Corvettes are not automatically profitable investments, and buyers should never assume any vehicle will rise in value. Yet the Corvette’s long collector history, loyal enthusiast base, broad parts support, and proven demand for rare, well-documented performance autos give carefully selected examples a stronger case for value retention than many ordinary used vehicles.

For shoppers in Indianapolis, Westfield, and throughout Central Indiana, that means a Chevrolet Corvette can be a more thoughtful purchase than a typical weekend car. It can be a vehicle chosen for its design, V8 character, track-day potential, and the possibility of a more favorable long-term ownership outcome.

Not Every Corvette Is an Investment, But the Right One Can Be
The Corvette nameplate spans more than seven decades, and not every model follows the same market trajectory. Condition, originality, service records, mileage, transmission choice, color, provenance, rarity, and documented ownership all influence what a Corvette is worth when it is time to sell.
At major January auctions, a 1967 Corvette with the L89 engine sold for $1.705 million, while a 1967 L88 Corvette - one of only 20 produced - sold for $2.25 million. The market has also continued to reward the most collectible second-generation Corvettes, with 1963-1967 models maintaining average values above $100,000 in Hemmings’ market analysis.

“High-dollar auction cars make headlines, but they also illustrate an important point for mainstream Corvette buyers,” said Victor Figlin, General Manager at Indy Auto Man. “The best return usually starts with disciplined shopping. Buyers should focus on a model that enthusiasts want, confirm its history, inspect it carefully, avoid compromising on condition, and maintain it properly. A Corvette purchased with those principles can be much more than a depreciating used vehicle.”

What Modern Corvettes Are Smart Choices
For Indiana buyers who want a Chevy Corvette they can use and enjoy rather than store as a museum piece, recent generations offer practicality and great value for money. The C7 Corvette, produced from 2014 through 2019, is notable as the final front-engine generation before Chevrolet moved the Corvette to its mid-engine C8 layout for 2020.

That transition has helped reinforce the C7’s identity among enthusiasts. Hagerty reported that C7 values were broadly stable over the four years leading to January 2025, while higher-performance versions showed modest gains. According to the report, C7 Grand Sport values rose 3 percent from 2021, while C7 Z06 and ZR1 values increased 6 percent.

The same analysis noted that an excellent-condition base C7 coupe was valued around $48,000, compared with mid-$60,000 pricing for a Grand Sport, mid-$70,000 pricing for a Z06, and approximately $187,000 for an excellent-condition ZR1 coupe.

A C7 Grand Sport, Z06, or ZR1 may carry a higher initial purchase price, but it can also have a stronger enthusiast following than a base model. Hagerty found that the C7 Grand Sport held a 27 percent value premium over the base car, while the Z06 held a 36 percent premium and the ZR1 held a 74 percent premium.

That does not mean every high-performance Corvette is automatically a great investment. A vehicle’s history still comes first. A lower-mileage Corvette with complete maintenance records, a clean title, unmodified or thoughtfully documented equipment, and a desirable combination of features may appeal more strongly to future buyers.

For smart buyers, the proper strategy is to look for the most complete, well-cared-for Corvette they can reasonably afford - not simply the lowest-priced one available.

To make Corvette ownership more rewarding this fall, Indy Auto Man is launching a limited promotional offer at its Indianapolis and Westfield dealerships.
Customers who sign the sales agreement for a Chevrolet Corvette in October and November 2026 and pay the purchase price during the promotional period will receive two oil changes covered by Indy Auto Man. The offer applies to purchases paid in full, including vehicles purchased with financing, as long as the transaction is completed during the promotion period. The two covered oil changes must be used within 365 days of the contract date.
